Ireland's tint problem is not desert heat — it is low sun on the N25 in January and a car park bake in July. Different problems, different film.
The short answer
For glare, a lighter ceramic film on the front at the legal limit does more than a dark rear. For summer heat, a ceramic rear set is the upgrade that earns its money. Dark dyed film handles privacy but does comparatively little for either.
The two Irish problems
Low winter sun sits right at eye level on east–west roads — the N25 in the morning, the N11 in the evening. That is a front-glass problem, and it is solved with light film with high infrared rejection, not with darkness.
Summer heat is a rear and roof problem. A parked car with big glass builds cabin temperature fast, and that is where ceramic film on the rear set makes a difference you can feel getting in.
