## Process

1. Vehicle assessed and shade agreed against the Irish legal limits.

3. Film hand-cut and heat-shrunk to the curve of each window.
4. Film applied, squeegeed and edge-checked; door cards refitted where removed.
5. Vehicle handed back the same day in most cases with aftercare instructions.

## Aftercare

Leave the windows up for 3 to 5 days while the film cures, and keep chemical cleaners off the inside of the glass in that time. Some water haze during curing is normal and clears as the film dries. Clean with an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth.

### How much does car window tinting cost in Ireland?

At our Gorey workshop a set of two front windows starts at €90 on a three-door hatchback, €100 on a saloon and €110 on an SUV or jeep. Rear sets run from €140 and a full car (excluding the windscreen) from €190. Every figure is a fitted price including film, labour and warranty.

### What is the difference between dyed, metallised and ceramic window film?

Dyed film mainly cuts glare and light and is the cheapest option. Metallised film adds real heat rejection but can interfere with some aerials and sensors. Ceramic film rejects the most infrared heat with no signal interference, which is why it costs more. We will tell you honestly which one your budget buys for your car.

### Can you tint van, jeep and crew cab windows?

Yes. Rear and load-area glass on vans, jeeps and crew cabs can be blacked out completely for load security, while the cab glass is kept inside the Irish legal limits. Commercial vehicles are priced on the SUV rate.

### Can you remove old or purple tint before fitting new film?

Yes. Old film is steamed and peeled, the adhesive is cleaned off the glass and the car is re-tinted properly. Tint removal is charged at €200, and rear screens are done carefully to protect the demister lines.

### Is tinting the front windows legal in Ireland?

Only with a light film. Front side windows must still transmit at least 50% of light and the windscreen at least 65%. Glass behind the driver on a passenger car has no darkness limit, so most customers go legal up front and dark behind the driver.

### How long does a window tinting job take?

Most cars are finished the same day — the front pair takes about an hour and a rear set two to three hours, with a full car or large SUV longer. Leave the windows up for 3 to 5 days afterwards while the film cures.

### Do you offer mobile window tinting?

No. Every car is fitted indoors at the Gorey workshop in a clean, dust-controlled space, because film fitted outdoors picks up dust and contamination that shows up as specks under the glass.
